Prussian issue S98/05 new pattern with flash guard & small ears but in leather scabbard. The blade is good with no pitting maker marked 'E&F HOSTER'
The 1st pattern leather scabbard is a good fit with no shrinkage, but rear seam has partly failed. The leather is good & would polish well if desired.... read more

WW1 Prussian enlisted mans belt & buckle in a large (for the period) 110cm. The leather is strong and supple with good clear makers mark & is 1915 dated. It also bears the hand written names of two soldiers and a unit.

The body & lid are 7.7cm shell casings whilst the handle is formed from 7.92mm Mauser rifle rounds, with a German Tunic button as part of the lid. All the ammunition is dated 1915. Nice item, which stands 8" tall.
