WW1 U.S M1917 Sword Bayonet & 'Maxim' Scabbard

Remington production, U.S model 1917 sword bayonet in 1st pattern 'Maxim' scabbard. Short lived scabbard type soon replaced with the more practical, simpler 2nd pattern.

Both bayonet & scabbard are 1917 dated, lovely grips & nice green finished scabbard leather. Blade good, no nicks or rust pits, perfect point. Getting hard to find with this 1st type scabbard.
