Rare, 1945 dated British No 80 MkI W.P Grenade.
The No80 grenade is not an easy one to find, inert war-time dated examples are very thin on the ground.

This one has the bulk of its original painted finish and stenciled markings. Has a clear date of July 1945 & was made by Metal box.

Would say this example was never filled, there is no red painted band to the top & it has never been sealed at the base, probably used for instructional purposes.

Thread is perfect, the striker is 1953 dated. Rare Grenade.INERT/F.F.E
