Rare, British Military 'Tool Hand Cutting'
Rare, British Military 'Tool Hand Cutting'
1950's British Military 'Tool Hand Cutting' This tool/weapon is described in British and Commonwealth military knives by Ron Flook on pages 113-114.
At the time of publication the author states that 'no actual examples had been observed' & it was not known if these items saw military use..
This example is in a heavy duty webbing & leather sheath, is military marked & dated 1952. Interesting webbing belt attachment loop fitted on the reverse.
Small inspection stamp & broad arrow impressed into one grip scale.
The heavy, multipurpose, 12" blade marked 'PARKES' which is completely double edged.
Good condition & straight out of the wood work its a must have for the collector of British military edged weapons & I doubt you will find another (Unless a hoard of them has been unearthed in Outer Mongolia since the publication of this book!)
