British Carrier, Manpack Frame GS, 1945 Dated

Aluminium load carrying frame, introduced with the 1944 pattern web equipment, used to transport heavy loads, ammunition, radios heavy weapons etc & in service for decades.

This one in good order, the frame & tray dated 1945, as are most of the straps. This example still has the seldom used & disliked head strap.

Interesting bit of kit that would display with a British equipment collection from the 40's to the 80's & beyond.
