WW2 German gravity knife that has had the blade drilled & pegged to become a fixed blade knife. Not a recent conversion, carried out some time in the past, probably after the drop/lock mechanism was broken.

Famously issued to luftwaffe pilots, filght crew & Fallschrimjager, the blade maker marked with the SMF logo, Luftwaffe acceptance stamp to the marlin spike.
