WW1 German M16 Helmet A.E.F 'Post Home'
Cracking 'Salty' example of a Great-War 'post home' German M16 steel helmet.
Totally untouched the helmet is complete, the three liner pads are intact and retain their horse hair pillows (one a little fragile and near detached) original draw string and chin strap (Broken) Original paint throughout. Liner & pins completely undisturbed.
Souvenired by a member of the American expeditionary forces, it has hand painted sender & recipient details to the shell, together with typed paper labels. The helmet also bears the name of its German owner to the rear apron. Maker marked 'Q' size 66.
Great helmet, if you are after a post home this really is a one looker..
