WW1 German Binoculars & Ersatz Case

Rare late war variant German service binoculars & Ersatz case. The binoculars have clear spot/mould free optics & are complete with sheet metal rain guard & neck strap which as a war economy is sewn on, saving on the little studs usually found. Interestingly the binoculars are marked as Fernglas 08 & Dienstglas.

They are dated Aug 1917

The case is the rare ersatz type made from paper cloth & fibreboard with leather trim. Very good condition with only one split leather closure tab.
