U.S Made example (Lilley-Ames) 1941 Dutch issue Klewang.
Made in the U.S for Colonial forces in the Dutch East Indies, captured by Japanese imperial forces & modified for issue to their own forces, many were subsequently recaptured By U.S troops & re-used by them, it being a handy weapon & tool.
Black Bakelite grips, 17" fullered blade, with hatchet point housed in brass mounted leather scabbard. Interesting piece with a lot of history.
