Royal Navy Officers Tropical Helmet & Tin, To Noted WW2 Submariner

Stunning R.N officers tropical helmet by Gieves named to Captain Michael Lindsay Coulton "Tubby" Crawford, DSC & Bar. He served with the top two British war-time submarine aces Ben Bryant & Malcolm Wanklyn .

Captain Crawford took command of HMS Unseen in June 1942 & saw service in the Med, sinking various German & Italian ships and undertaking special operations with COPP parties including operation 'Husky' There is much on the internet about this officer & the IWM has around 1.5 hours of audio interviews with him.

Both helmet & tin are in very good condition, a nice item to a noted long serving R.N officer.
