WW2 German M40 single decal helmet. A good original and un-messed with example. The liner is very good, with no damage or tears & totally undisturbed. Early chin strap with Aluminium buckle, it has been period shortened to eleven holes.

Shell retains much original paint and has a pleasing patina, single decal present with some chipping. Nice inked dome stamp. Maker marked E.T (Eisenhuttenwerke) size 64 with 818 to the rear apron.
