Dated.

Prussian issue S98/05 new pattern with flash guard & small ears but in leather scabbard. The blade is good with no pitting maker marked 'E&F HOSTER'

The 1st pattern leather scabbard is a good fit with no shrinkage, but rear seam has partly failed. The leather is good & would polish well if desired. In good untouched condition it being a recently 'surfaced' example.
