WW1 Imperial German S84/98 Saw Back Bayonet

Scarce Imperial German S84/98 saw back knife bayonet. The blade has the uncommon double stamp; 'ERFURT' - 'GEBR HELLER, MARIENTHAL'
Good service used condition, profile of the teeth is good and sharp, the blade has been re-pointed, no nicks to the edge.

The top of the pommel has received a deliberate blow to make the press stud inoperable, prehaps for use as a sidearm post WW1? Original steel scabbard.
